If you go to India during the monsoon, many nature parks are closed. But Keoladeo Ghana National Park
in Bharatpur, near Agra, is a rarer place where the monsoon is the right season.

indian treehouse

One of my favorite travel experiences in India was 3 nights in The Green Magic Treehouse in Wayanad. Read a full description here: http://taraindigo.googlepages.com/indiantreehouse
The treehouse is in a quiet forest in the northern part of Kerala. A driver picks you up in a shiny white car in Calicutt and drives you out of the noisy, dirty city, through nearby towns, then smaller towns, then up the mountains through smalll villages, past tea and cardamom plantations and into a protected forest where a jeep awaits to take you down a bumpy path into a lush green paradise. It is the nicest staff you will ever meet, and the tastiest, locally-grown organic food prepared according to regional recipes. It is not cheap, but it was an amazing experience. I highly recommend it.
